  • Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori dismisses rumors of defection to APC, calling them baseless and a tactic by opposition elements
  • He reassures Deltans of his commitment to the PDP, emphasizing his focus on delivering good governance and public trust

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has dismissed claims suggesting he plans to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement released Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described the rumours as baseless and a ploy by opposition elements to mislead the public.

“Well-meaning Deltans and residents widely accept Governor Oborevwori. He has no reason to leave the PDP,” the statement clarified.

The governor reassured the people of Delta State of his commitment to the PDP and urged them to disregard the unfounded speculation.
